Rooted in Culture. Connected Through Craft.
Dharma Objects began in 1998 after a life-changing journey through India and Nepal. During our travels, we were inspired by the incredible artisans we met, the beauty of their handcrafted work, and the rich cultures, traditions, and generations of craftsmanship behind each piece.
As a Tibetan family with roots in India, this journey was also deeply personal. It gave us an opportunity to learn more about our own heritage, culture, and traditions while discovering the many diverse communities and artistic traditions of the Himalayan region.
We started our small, family-owned business with a simple mission: to share beautiful, authentic handcrafted pieces while supporting the talented artists and craftspeople who create them. As our business has grown, so has our ability to work with and support more artisans and their families.
We continue to travel to India and Nepal each year to maintain our relationships with the artisans we work with, learn from them, and continually improve the quality and production of our products. We work directly with artisans and proudly support Indian, Tibetan, and Nepalese craftspeople and their traditional handicrafts.
Our approach is rooted in fair-trade values and direct relationships. By working closely with the artisans who create our products, we strive to support their craft, livelihoods, and families while helping preserve traditional skills that have been passed down through generations. We believe that the people behind each piece should be valued and respected, and that traditional craftsmanship should have a place in today's world.
For more than 25 years, our small business in Minnesota has continued to grow, but our original mission remains the same. We believe that these beautiful objects are more than just products. They carry stories, history, artistry, and traditions that deserve to be appreciated and preserved.
Through Dharma Objects, we hope to continue learning about the cultures that are part of our heritage while sharing their beauty and history with people around the world. We are honored to introduce our customers to the incredible craftsmanship and traditions behind the pieces we offer.
Every item we choose reflects our commitment to quality, authenticity, and the timeless beauty of mindful living. Most importantly, we are grateful for the opportunity to support the artisans who make this work possible and to share their creations with you.
We truly appreciate your business and support.
